Birmingham, city of a thousand colours

I went to Birmingham for the Photography Show at the NEC; it soon became clear that despite the annual photographic extravaganza and Comic Con collectively drawing 70,000 visitors, the real star of the show was indeed the city itself.

Birmingham has a big heart and loads of character. Take a walk around the city centre and it soon becomes clear that this Midlands powerhouse bears its scars proudly on its walls. I found myself with 5 hours before my coach home, but I certainly wasn't sitting around twiddling my thumbs.
