Croydon RISEs to the occasion

Croydon's Rise Gallery presents the first annual RISEfestival, "a celebration of UK and international urban art". The festival, which promises to deliver some much appreciated colour to the streets of this South London metropolis, kicked off on Wednesday 5 September 2018 and continues through till Saturday 15 September. I was fortunate to witness a handful of the masters breathing life into their art.

The festival boasts some of the best urban art, but it doesn't end there; bloc parties, special events, walking tours and talks are also on the menu. The organisers are keen to promote their four core principles; Showcasing exceptional talent, Impact, Inclusivity and Diversity. The majority of the events offer free entry to all.
